It is an extremely cold place with frequent flash freezes that make this place one of the most inhospitable worlds in the Koprulu sector. Desipite all these facts, zergs did infest it and Kerrigan aims to send her Swarm to Kaldir so they learn how to deal with extreme cold. Together with learning how to adapt to the extreme conditions, Swarm has a goal to find out what happened to the lost brood.
