this is not a review ~Dwi_Edge~
basically, it have consistent animation art...
focus the animation to the character, the background are often lacking in detail
about the story?
laterally it's good, except the part that it is very normal SHOUNEN styled love Romance anime...
meh, the guy being wimpy-wimpy and the girls are amazing (smart, strong, cool, or whatever)
the character development are good...
and lastly, the Sound .. maybe it's the reason why you want to watch this anime... (aside from the seiyuu)
BGM, OP and ED are amazing in it's own way... yes, IN IT'S OWN WAY
so?
watch it?

"This is the last trilogy from Innocent Grey(これから I'll call it IG), Cartagra-Sacrament(Nagomibako)-Kara no Shoujo. For the first time I finished this one...I feel regret, yes regret. Why didn't I play Cartagra before I play this one?
Kara no Syojo contains some spoilers which can ruin your enjoyment with Cartagra(at least I feel so). So I recommed you to play Cartagra-Sacrament and then Kara no Syojo."

At the same time, he takes on a missing persons' case at a private all-girls high school, as well as a mysterious request from a girl named Toko to find her true self. As Reiji frantically struggles to crack the case, he learns that the murders bear an uncanny resemblance to a case in which his own fiancé was murdered six years ago. But try as he might, the body count just keeps rising...

meh, whatever thing you do in VN, you can't miss this one...
great gameplay and reading experience...
In KnS you found something different, that is Detective Simulation system.
I won't explain the detail, in this game you will see "Investigation Mode".
Investigation Mode is a situation where you'll search and gather all of information, just move your "black pointer" and if the black turn to "red pointer"... then there's must be something. Caution, this is the essential part of game, you must investigate carefully....or just look for the walkthrough
The next thing is "Map Mode", in this mode you need to move from a place to another place, this will affect the story, though... so be careful...
The last is "Notebook", in notebook you'll see Character List, Evidence List, Investigation List, Map and Character Diagram... Nothing much to say... except this Notebook feature will help you to solve the mysteries.
Finally... not a review, but a summary for review...
This is Recommended for:
one who seek TRUE END when playing VN, like mistery and detective things, and LONG story
Not Recommended for:
H-lover, looking for raep, hate heavy story... and whatever

Synopsis
well this is the continuation from the season 1 where keima keeps on capturing real girl with his knowledge....and in the second season there's a little bit explanation about the hell, and also the loose souls. so far, the anime is still on it's "lingering" pace, where there is no major event or maybe some turning point or development for the story, maybe it just like season 1 where keima just doing his routine of capturing girl and some side story..
Review
Story
I really - really like how the story goes in this anime, it's interesting to watch, and kinda Unique for me, somehow I like "arc" based anime and TWGOK really really good in developing it's arc, eventhough some arc are a way too short. If you read the manga you will notice that the anime still have a long way to go, the pace is just like the manga version, but I think if the anime follow the manga pace it would take forever to reach the "Real Ending", so I have three hypothesis for the anime :
1. The anime just "END" with some weird and f*cked up ending
2. The anime will reach into Season 5
3. The anime just suddently stop with no clear ending
well, for me I think hypothesis 1 is the reasonable one... but just let's hope that it is wrong..
well, for me I think hypothesis 1 is the reasonable one... but just let's hope that it is wrong..
oh yeah,, the review I forgot about it... just ignore my stupid hypothesis and continue the review..... for the story for each arc I thinks it's quite good, the story are kinda realistic to me, (even though some story isn't realistic) but yeah it's simple yet it has a great effect for the anime series.... so the score for Story is 8.5/10
*UPDATE
The second season is over... the ending is hanging.. just like the first season.. some of my friends said that TWGOK S3 is will not produced by the company coz the DVD sale is bad... but at the end of S2 we can see
the girl which will be captured by keima on S3... so I don't know whether the anime is continued or not....

Character
the character.. what can I say.. the anime has a lot of character with a lot of personality so I don't have much to say.... so far the character itself is interesting (including the personality and artwork) and I have my own favorite character which is Ayumi Takahara and Haqua... well one of them is Tsundere... and Tsundere is the best!!!! (it's my personal though so just let it slip by) and one interesting thing for me is, because of each girls have different personality so keima has to use different tactic for each girl, for a passive girl keima has to be an active guy... and so on... 8.0/10
Artwork
Artwork
for the artwork... it's a decent one... but I can't compare which one is better the artwork in manga or anime because both of them has their own flaws and awesomeness, the example is the for some character the artwork in the manga is better than the anime version (Ayumi takahara looks good on the manga, but at the anime I kinda dislike it...maybe in the anime version ayumi hair is shorter), but Haqua in the anime is has a better looks than in the manga version. but on the other hand the artwork is still enjoyable so the score is 7.5/10
Music
well for the OP and ED, I really really like it... especially the OP, some people say that the first season OP is better than the second one but it didn't apply to me... for me the second season OP is Epic too. for the ending it has some sweet tone into it and it's very it's very easylistening , for those who didn't know here is the title for the opening and endingOpening :

OVERALL
its one awesome anime. I say... I just can't wait for it to reach a certain part of the manga where it would be awesome if it's animated, the example is when the capture process of library girl takes place... on it's anime version it's very very good the effect is just too awesome for my laptop to take so my laptop crashes... so let us pray that my hypothesis will be wrong and the anime will reach into Season 5 just like many stupid "SINETRON" in my country who always reach into season 5 or 1000 episode....

A rival magical girl who comes to the city later in the story. A girl with an equally fiery personality to match. She is always seen eating something, even while she is battling. She wields a spear which can extend itself, split into multiple sections, and produce a ball at the end of the chain, which can constrict and hit others at the same time. She seems to be able to change the size of the spearhead as well.
Kyubey/QB (キュゥべぇ) (Hell YEAH!) / VA: Emiri Katō
A messenger of magic who can grant any wish to a certain girl, on the condition that she become a magical girl and fight against witches. He has so far made contracts with Mami, Kyoko and Sayaka, and shows particular interest in making Madoka a magical girl.

Story ( 99 - 88.5 = 9.5/10)
I will give 99/10 for this anime's story.. but the ending kinda dissapoint me, so I just give 9.5/10 for this anime, why?
coz shaft gives us such great, tragedic, complicated yet simple system of Mahou Shoujo in madoka magika world...
it's rare for me to have such a curiosity and wanting more and more eagerly waiting for the next episode... There are times where it's pleasant and nice, where you're smiling watching it, just like watching a slice of life anime.. there are times where you feel a deep pity and sadness for some characters or blatant hatred for others.... Gen Urobuchi wove this tale intricately but not intricate enough where you're confused... as for me, I'm already used to this kind of story... The fact that it's intricate keeps you on your toes and guessing... Plot twists, when inserted in the right place, can make a story much better than it already is.... Madoka is chock-full of the well-placed plot twist. The storyline also flows very well. Some may feel like it builds up slow, but the pace is what creates all of the tension... well, just like some great preparation and great finishing I just have dissenting opinions on the ending of the story
but hell... it was written and executed in an amazing way.
and the last thing about story, IT CANNOT BE SPECULATED BY JUST WATCHING SOME EPISODES, BUT ALL OF THEM WILL MAKE IT CLEAR..
why ?
coz I have some speculation made by myself, and I read all of my friend speculation too...but none of them are correct... well, lastly said about story, SASUGA Gen!!
Characters(9/10)
all of em are great...
almost all of the main characters (read: all of Mahou Shoujo) here are unique, and have personality development, or we can just call it improvement in their life...
You really sympathize for the characters and the pain they go through. You'll find yourself wanting to scream at Madoka, pull your hair out at Sayaka, cry for Mami, smile at Kyoko and hug Homura. Most of all though, you'll want to kill Kyuubey. See what I mean? You really get the feeling of knowing the characters through their actions and through their progression in the storyline.
Art + Graphic (9/10)
it's a pain to distinguish them, so... whatever
Superb!
This is a SHAFT anime, so you should expect ridiculous art.. yes... I'm sure you will say "weird" or "ridiculous" if this is the first time you watch SHAFT anime...
Akiyuki Shinbou is notorious for this style of art and it's in full effect. It isn't used all the time, but when it is used, it is freakin' EPIC.
I personally love it ( remember the art in Bakemonogatari??? That was AMAZING) but others may have different opinion from me
if someone said that the faces are too wide, I think it is fine...
and also Shaft fix them at the rest half of the Anime...
Sound (10/10)
it's also a pain to separate bgm, op/ed and seiyuu
OP + ED = SUBARASHI!! no other words... only SUBARASHI!
BGM =
The seiyuu (voice actresses/actors) are well-chosen for the characters it's a pretty renowned cast and they all pull off their roles extremely well.
Personal Enjoyment (10/10)
You'll find yourself at the edge of your seat watching Madoka. If you're not coming in with negative expectations, you should have a great time watching it... All the elements of the show come together to really hit you. Whether it's the action, the emotion, the art, the music, the characters or the story that gets you, you'll be enticed by Madoka... I wouldn't mind watching it over and over, just to pick up things I had missed before... (this is critical, you need to re-watch it for greater good)
Overall (10/10)
I think that this is one of the best anime to come out in a while... hell... I'd say that it has the possibility to be the best Anime of 2011. (at least it the best winter anime) It managed to pack an entire warehouse full of epicness in 12 episodes. I recommend Madoka to anyone who is trying to see a "revolutionary anime" done epic-ly...
